And sushi with beer nite!

These are examples of some of the 40-50 or so adaptive books I am have made and continue to make, for my and my husband's kids at school.
Because many of the students don't and will never actually "read" like you or I do, I have made books using picture symbols, matching pictures and other non-traditional ways so that "our" kids can sit with a book independently and "read". They love the books and it makes me happy to see them excited about them.

This is my new lunch bag. It's washable and made out of a neoprene-type fabric. When I no longer want it as a lunch bag maybe I can wear it under my swim cap for my Alcatraz swims for extra warmth. (jk or course...just trying to be funny. bomb.)
My long run is out of the way for the weekend, which means I can focus on the bike ride we have planned for tomorrow.
I didn't see any javelina this morning (darn) and was too early for snake sighting (double darn) but I pushed the pace, made it hurt and still had time to say "hi" to all of Mr. E. Bunny's friends out there.
And the best thing about the run was not seeing anyone else on the trail and singing my lungs out on the way home to Little Feat's "Cold, Cold Cold" which leads into "Tripe Boogie". Now THAT'S music. Original, Lowell George wailing, self-written and orchestrated, self-played, non-sampled, genius MUSIC!
Have a great weekend! GO athletes who are at OCEANSIDE and NEW ORLEANS! WHOO-HOO!
