Been there, done that...

This is what local trail runners are doing today.
It's a mountain south of Tucson in the Santa Ritas called Mt. Wrightson.

The run is called the "Mt. Wrightson Massacre". People try to see how many times they can make the 10 mile up and back in daylight.
I never tried more than once.

The views from the top take you all the way into Mexico.

It's a pretty mountain and I really should get back down there someday to hike it. We "trained" for the Grand Canyon on this mountain.

But doing it multiple times is just...well, let's just say I moved on to something a little more sane.

I did a tri today instead.

Good choice! ;-) I am pretty sure anything called a massacre is best avoided!

omg... I also used mt wrightstown to train for the grand canyon... but multiple times???
wow.
(Those were probably the people who passed me on the grand canyon, RUNNING from rim to rim...)
